General
Maverick is an independent private client advisory — not a call centre, not a volume-driven brokerage. Every client works directly with Bram Bains, President of the Private Client Group. We focus on business families, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and high-net-worth individuals who need more than a standard renewal. We have access to private client carriers like Chubb, Intact Prestige, and Aviva Ovation — markets that aren't available through every broker.

Private Client Group
The Private Client Group is Maverick's dedicated advisory practice for high-value households — covering home, auto, collections, excess liability, and any other personal or household exposure. Clients in the Private Client Group have direct access to Bram, a proactive review process, and access to carriers like Chubb Masterpiece, Intact Prestige, and Aviva Ovation that are specifically designed for complex, high-value households.
Our private clients are typically business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, community leaders, first-generation founders, and second or third-generation beneficiaries of family wealth. What they have in common is that their lives have grown beyond what a standard insurance policy was designed to address — and they want an advisor who keeps pace with them.
Excess liability — also called an umbrella policy — sits above all of your underlying coverage and responds when a claim exceeds your standard limits. For private clients, a $1 million or even $2 million liability limit is often insufficient given rising court awards, litigation funding, and the complexity of high-net-worth household exposures. At Maverick, our starting baseline for private clients is $5 million in excess liability coverage. Read more in our Insights article on liability coverage.
Commercial Insurance
Maverick works with growing and established businesses across a wide range of commercial insurance needs — including commercial property, general liability, professional liability, commercial auto, business interruption, and more. Every commercial client receives a full review of their business exposures rather than a transactional quote.
Yes — and for many of our clients, managing both together is exactly what makes the relationship valuable. A business owner's personal and commercial exposures are often intertwined. Reviewing them together ensures nothing falls through the gap between policies.
Personal Insurance
Not at all. While the Maverick Private Client Group is designed for high-value households, we work with clients across all stages of their journey. If you're looking for home, auto, or tenant insurance and don't yet qualify for our private client markets — we have access to a broad range of standard carriers and can find the right coverage for where you are right now. Everyone starts somewhere, and we're here to help regardless of where that is.
Maverick can assist with home insurance, tenant insurance, auto insurance, condo insurance, and specialty personal lines — including collector vehicle coverage through partners like Hagerty. Whether you're a first-time homeowner or a multi-property household, we can find the right fit across our carrier network.
